Each year we visit and are always pleased with our experience. The cabins are clean and well stocked with all the cooking utensils needed. Most of our time is spent down at the river, which is just a short walk away from the cabin. If you plan to float the river, I do recommend bringing your tubes and transportation. We had a large group and the cost of being taken up river a short driving distance was going to be $15 per person. The cost used to be $20 per group. Frio Country Resort does not provide the transportation. I would love to see this being included in the resort one day!

"Beat place to stay!!!!
We loved the location and feeling this resort offered. The walking distance to the river was awesome!!! We were able to just walk down each day and play in the shallows and small rapids, there was plenty of catch and release fishing too. The cabin was perfect for our family and was clean and comfortable. Two nights they played outdoor Disney movies and my kid really enjoyed that, it was so fun to sit back and relax under the stars while watching a movie. Overall we loved everything about our stay and we have already asked to book for next year!!!!"

We brought our two grandsons for a river experience and this location was perfect. There was easy access to the water and has a great entry point at the bridge that brought them back to our cabin on a short ride that they did over and over again."
