Rules

Frio Country Resort is a family-oriented business, and we are proud to offer clean, quality accommodations for our guests. Our rules are designed to help protect you, our homes and cabins, and our natural resources.

  1. No Pets. Violators will be charged a nonrefundable fee, may be evicted and risk not being able to rebook. We ask that you communicate with us in advance if you have any questions about this policy.
  2. No Smoking inside the properties; this includes e-cigarettes. Dispose of butts in provided containers.
  3. Children are not allowed in the pool area or river area without the supervision of a responsible adult or guardian. Parents: please do not allow your children to roam around unsupervised.
  4. Tents, pop-ups, and RVs are not allowed at vacation homes or cabins
  5. No littering. Glass containers and Styrofoam are not permitted in river or pool areas.
  6. Quiet time begins at 11 PM – Please respect your neighbors by lowering the volume outside so that everyone may enjoy their vacation.
  7. Do not leave canopies in or along the river; all canopies must be taken down at the end of the day. Abandoned canopies are considered litter by the State and will be collected nightly.
  8. Rope Swings are not permitted on Frio Country property and will be cut down. The varying skill and sobriety level of our guests and other visitors to the area, combined with the natural change in water level and change in location of boulders, poses a safety hazard. Please be respectful of our property.
  9. Hunters: Frio Country Resort is a “Feather Free” establishment. There will be a $250 clean-up fee for any feathers or other carcasses left behind at cabin/house premises.
  10. Easter Patrons—We love confetti eggs but not at our resort or rental homes. There will be a $500 clean-up fee for any confetti left inside and/or around the resort or vacation home.

Cabins and Vacation Homes

Frio Country Resort is a family oriented business and we are proud to offer quality accommodations at reasonable rates. So we can maintain these standards for generations to come, we respect and adhere to these policies.

Please respect our cabins and leave them as you found them. Observe the NO PETS and NO SMOKING rule. To maintain the cabins in a safe and comfortable condition, we must limit the number of guests per cabin. Maximum occupancy is based on how many the cabin will sleep. Eviction will occur. The number of vehicles is limited, one vehicle per bedroom. Inquire about overflow parking.

RV Sites

All RV sites are full hook up – water, septic, electric, basic cable, and WiFi. Each site is equipped with a 30 amp and 50 amp hook up, picnic table and BBQ pit. Tent camping, sleeping in cares and open air sleeping are not permitted.

Camping Rules

  • Maximum number of guests should not exceed the capacity of the RV

Frio Country Resort is a family resort. We will not rent to minors—families only. We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone. No profanity—please do respect your neighbors.

Parking and Extra Vehicles:

  • Each rental is provided with one vehicle pass per bedroom.  This ensures that all guests are able to park in front of their home or cabin, that we are in compliance with the local Homeowner’s association (if applicable) and that all units can be accessed in the event of an emergency, for maintenance and by security personnel.
  • Each additional parking pass is $20 per vehicle for the duration of the stay.
    • At the resort, all additional vehicles with parking passes must park in the overflow parking at the front of the resort.
    • At vacation homes, a maximum of two (2) additional vehicles can remain at the home.  All other vehicles with parking passes must park in the overflow parking at the front of the resort.
    • Box trailers are considered a vehicle if it will remain at the home or cabin.  Once unloaded, you may park it in the overflow parking free of charge.  Please obtain an overflow pass from the office.
  • We ask that all vehicles have parking passes displayed on rear-view mirrors and remain parked in front of the assigned cabin or home.  Please do not park at other cabins, in the grass or along the sides of cabins/homes.  You will be asked to move your vehicle.
  • For guests enjoying our vacation homes, please use the parking area in the front of the resort when visiting the river.  Please do not drive back into the resort to unload or park.  While at your vacation home, remember that there are permanent residents that live in our area full-time.  Please respect their rights to enjoy a peaceful evening.
  • ATVs, golf carts, UTVs, and any other vehicle without a license plate are not permitted. If handicapped guests need assistance accessing the river, please contact Frio Country prior to your stay and we are happy to help find solutions.  Some neighborhoods do allow these vehicles on their streets.  Contact us to confirm before your stay.
  • Our area is encountering water shortages, much like most of Texas.  Please note that you will experience lower water pressures at peak usage times (6-8PM, 8-11AM).
    • The local water company will be turning off water supplies at midnight through early morning, in order to replenish water storage.  Please plan accordingly.
    • We ask that you join us in conserving water and reporting all maintenance issue, but especially those that may increase water consumption (running toilets, water leaks).
